A very fine rare Haida or Tlingit  ceremonial feast spoon dating from the early to mid 1800’s. The spoon is finely carved from two pieces of mountain goat horn that has been steamed and bent into shape.   Very thinly and elegantly carved in the round. The spoon features a standing transforming human figure which envelopes a whale and a hawk .  This very finely carved museum quality spoon will make a fine addition to anyone’s collection.
