A very rare Tlingit headdress ornament. The attachment is for a bear headdress and this representing one of the ears of the headdress. The other matching ear is on display at the museum of natural history in Mew York. There is a Heye foundation number written on the back. Great patina and paint on this rare piece. The crouching human figure is typical of early Tlingit representation. This piece makes a fine addition to anyone’s collection. Provenance: important Vancouver Collection.
