Materials: Abalone Shell, cedar bark and root, natural and dyed bear grasses

Dimensions: 4 ½” 3 ¼” x 1 ¾” H

Description: A very finely woven basketry covered abalone shell. The top surface of the basketis completely covered in basketry material showing a bright well preserved complex design featuring arrow motifs, circular colored bands and central complex radiating circular pattern. One can not help be in awe of the weaver’s skill to create a form of basketry so complex.  Note the very consistent stiches. This basket will make a fine addition to anyone’s basket collection and displays very well. A museum quality example.
