A very large and impressive 19th Century Tlingit ceremonial feast ladle. The handle is carved from mountain goat horn and depicts classic Northwest Coast crest imagery in stacked form featuring a diving sea creature, seal, and a bear. The eyes of the seal and bear inlaid with abalone inlays. The delicate fine bowl is carved from translucent mountain sheep horn and attached to the upper section with four copper rivets. Comes with a display stand. This fine large museum quality ladle will make a fine addition to anyone’s collection..
