Bernard Kerrigan is from the Raven clan. His brother is Haida artist Keith Kerrigan. In 1980, Bernard worked with late Haida carver Claude Davidson in argillite and wood. He is mainly self-taught in silver and gold jewelry making. In 1987, Bernard completed a wood panel for the University of British Columbia’s Education Building. In terms of style and methodology, he is influenced by Haida carver Robert Davidson Sr., his late grandfather. In 1993, Bernard received his Law degree from UBC
