Tsimshian Frog form Feast Bowl Circa 1870-1880 . Provenance: Important Private Collection Vancouver . This graceful elegant feast bowl was carved from a hardwood most likely alder wood and was made for ceremonial use. The bowl still retains some of its great early original pigments of blue-green, black and red. The bowl is thinly carved with a nice deeply incised ridge and displays all the subtle details that makes early Tsimshian work so desirable. A perfect addition to the finest collections.
