A very rare Northwest Coast Tlingit Indian hand carved and painted feast bowl circa 1890. Hand carved from a maple wood it features an otter reclining on his back holding a large shell in his paws. Painted in excellent original pigments of red and black. This museum quality bowl will make a fine addition to anyone’s collection. Old museum number painted on bottom.
