A very nice Northwest Coast Nuu-chah-nulth cedar model totem circa 1920. This fine examples has great imagery and excellent painted details. The imagery is as follows an eagle about to take flight is perched on top, followed by a transverse whale draped over a human head and a seated bear at the base. The totem is the work of a carver who worked in the Victoria area of Vancouver Island in the first quarter or the twentieth century.
