  • Description: Carved from a beautiful natural dark blue black stone this carving depicts a human transforming into a bird.  The figure has a wonderful presence about it as he stands frozen in his bird like cape. A superb piece of Inuit stone sculpture.  This fine original Inuit carving will make a  fine addition to anyone’s collection.
  • Provenance: Private collection amassed over 40 years by a retired educator originally from Ontario Canada. ( we recently acquired a number of fine early pieces from this same collection and will be featuring a number of these on the website).
