Description
A fine early Yupik Eskimo wooden food bowl dating from the late 1800’s. Delicately carved from drift wood and the fine painted details in red ochre and black pigments. Carved from a single piece of wood which makes it a bowl intended for a man’s use. Great imagery of a mountain sheep and a baby sheep painted on the bowl. Fine condition with a nice patina. Museum quality example.
