Haida carver Pat Dixon was born in 1938 in Skidegate on Haida Gwaii and was member of the Eagle Clan. He began carving at a young age, and in 1966 he moved to Vancouver where he began working alongside Haida carver Pat McGuire. Pat was a renowned argillite carving, known for his totem poles, platters, sculptures and jewelry.
