Description: A fine early hollow back totem pole featuring some unusual and great expertly carved imagery. There is a halibut with bulging eyes who has an inverted raven lying on his back, at the bottom we have a high ranking female with a labret transforming into a raven, the raven’s broken beak lies underneath her chin. A nice substantial heavy totem carved by one of the early un-named master carvers. A museum quality example.
